On the back of the recent free trade agreement with China and the signing of an Australia/China MOU on health cooperation, Austrade staged a two-day tradeshow in Beijing this week. 130 Australians representing 70 organisations attended.
At the same time Health Minister Sussan Ley and the Chinese Health Minister Dr Li Bin signed agreements and a Plan of Action.
Four forums focused on:
• aged care facility design and operation
• skills development and training
• health and ageing
• agedcare investment
Sussan Ley explains how the Free Trade Agreement allows Australian businesses for the first time to have ownership of aged care facilities in China, giving investors extra confidence.
