Last week we mentioned that Arcadia Communities is building one of the largest retirement villages in the country; called Hidden Valley, it’s at Wallan, outside of Melbourne.

We have more detail – all up they are planning 537 retirement village units plus 50 resort units. This almost matches The Village Glen in Mornington in size - which has taken 35 years grow to our largest village with approximatly 620 units.

On top of this Arcadia has plans to build a 140 bed residential care facility and an $8 million resort clubhouse - to complement its 18 hole championship golf course. This outdoes Chas Jacobsen’s The Village Glen, which has just a nine hole golf course.
