At a recent meeting, Kiama Council has green-lit two major developments on the Kiama Hospital site.

A Joint Regional Planning Panel have approved an Aged Care Centre of Excellence and a housing/retail complex.

The community development will include a 134-bed residential aged care facility, a retirement village consisting of 51 independent living units & 16 assisted living units and a community services & activites centre.

The $70+ million plans on the 3.3 hectare Kiama Hospital site will see nearly all existing buildings demolished.
