After a 10 months search, Kingston Council (in suburban Melbourne) will transfer to Southern Cross Care VIC four existing aged care facilities plus responsibility for establishing a fifth 125 bed aged care facility.
The council states they could not keep up with the demand for specialised aged care and needed to hand over the business to experts.
